Speech Assessment

A speech evaluation entails:

  • ​​Parent/Caregiver Interview

  • Standardized articulation assessment at the word level

  • Assess a language sample of 50 utterances to evaluate intelligibility in connected speech

  • Screen fluency rate

  • Screen vocal quality

  • A meeting to discuss the results of the report and answer questions approximately 2-3 weeks after the evaluation

Language Assessment

A language evaluation entails:

  • Parent/Caregiver Interview

  • A Standardized Language Assessment(s)

  • Evaluate a language sample of at least 50 sentences/verbal responses and report syntax or semantic errors produced in his or her spontaneous speech (e.g., pronoun reversal, dropping articles, verb errors, etc.)

  • A meeting to discuss the results of the report and answer questions approximately 2-3 weeks after the evaluation
